All children make an effort to learn, but due to some reason fail to learn effectively. This is called learning disability or difficulty.
Concept of Learning Disability/Difficulty
| # | Learning disability is a hidden disability. Because Learning Disability can not be seen, it often go undetected. |
| # | It is difficult to indentify Learning disability because the severity and characteristics Vary from child to child. |
| # | The children with learning disability have average or above average intelligence, However it causes a discrepancy or gap between the ability and achievement. This gap leads to poor scholastic performance. |
| # | In some cases, other problem co-exist with learning disabilities like attention problem, emotional or social problem. |
| # | with the right support ,intervention and therapeutic teaching ,children with learning disabilities can succeed in school and sometimes may have distinguished careers later in life. |
| # | Although ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyper Active Disorder ) itself is not a leaning disability, authority believe that children with ADHD may be more likely to have learning disabilities. |
| # | It is observed from the sources that the ratio between boys and girls are 4:1. |
| # | As per the definition given by U.S. National joint Committee for Learning Disabilities, - “Learning Disability is a general term that refers to a heterogeneous group of disorder manifested by significant difficulties in acquisition and use of listening , speaking, reading, writing, reasoning or mathematical ability .These disorders are intrinsic to the individual”. |
DYSLEXIC

If not attended to, the effect of dyslexia can be devastating, often resulting in feelings of failure and loss of self confidence.
If you answer “Yes” to four or more of these questions, then affected child must be dyslexic, and we recommend that he or she must have full individual assesment
Dyslexia (reading disorder)
Difficulty in using and understanding language, problems with speaking ,listening
,reading. Kids with dyslexia can be extreamly creative and often excel in visual art
Sports,mechanics & areas that require spatial skills. Dyslectics have problems in int
-erpretings what they see. Information gets scrambled as it travels from senses to
Brain and back.

* Hyperactivity
Dysgraphia (Writing disorder)
* inability to write legibly and quickly.
* Improper posture.
* Awkward pencil/crayon grip
* Slow in writing, shabby and illegible handwriting
* Letter size variation, inability to maintain line.
* Mixing of capital and small letters.
* Reversal of letters.
* Persistent confusion between left and right.
Dyscalculia( mathematics disorder)
* persistent problems with mathematical symbols and concepts
* Reversal of numbers
* Difficulty in copying numerals
* Difficulty in concepts of small – big / more-less / tall-short etc.
* unable to relate numbers of objects to its symbol , written or verbal
* Difficulty in understanding the concepts of unit , tens ,hundreds.
* Difficulty in addition and subtraction
* Difficulty with simple mathematical concepts.
